Gone are the days of vintage belles and the grainy romance of film - as sad as it may be. Aneta Bartos draws on this nostalgia to create some of the most stunning photography I've come across for some time. Bartos either has some seriously awesome filters or shoots entirely on film and I'm so glad she is...this truly is an era we should never let go of.

As a self confessed blog addict I trawl about a zillion blogs each day. This morning I was going about my daily ritual when...hazzaaah! Design Crush delivers the goods once again - an entire Picture It post dedicated to the keenie. I'm glad its summer somewhere out there.

Gale force

Megan Gale launched her new keenie collaboration with David Jones yesterday at a Vaucluse harbour side party. The new brand Isola (island in Italian) may appear as a direct attack on the Jennifer Hawkins/Myer brand Cozi, though Gale does deny any such rivalry. While Cozi is aimed at the young and teeny weenie, Gale wants to fill a hole in the market for ladies in their 30's and 40's of all shapes and sizes. The pretty collection is filled with dainty florals, tie-dies and clever geometry. Silk caftans and maxi dresses also included for the evening cover up.
